During my little sabbatical I was still wearing and loving makeup, and one of my favourite finds was this mascara from ModelCo. I got this as a freebie earlier in the year with Glamour magazine.
To be honest I didn't have high hopes for this as had visions of this crumbling and flaking off all over my face.
This is a very dry formula and at first I wasn't sure, but I was really impressed with this. For day time I like to make my lashes as black as possible with no clumps and some added length. This delivers on both counts.
I was also impressed with the longevity, it didn't smudge, flake or crumble and it was removed easily. I am too lazy to wear mascara that is difficult to remove on a daily basis.
The packaging also get a thumbs up from me, as this has a handy mirror on the side, which although gets very grubby does come in handy.
The only issue I have with this is the price and the availability. I have never seen this in the shops and can only find on two websites. It is available from modelcocosmetics.com for £16 with £5 p&p unless you spend £100! Alternatively I have found a duo available for £6.99 on xtras.co.uk who I have ordered from before and have been very impressed with.
I am tempted to purchase the duo but do have quite a few mascara's but when I am running low I will check Xtras to see if they are still in stock.

February Favourites
Firstly sorry for the delay, but wanted to share my February favourites as had quite a product loving month.
I finally bought the Dr Jart+ Regenerating BB Cream which I have loved since trying for a Sample Sunday post, which you can read here. I am intrigued to see if self adjusts to my skin tone in the spring and summer, I guess I will just have to wait till the sun makes an appearance and see. If anyone is on the hunt for a new everyday base I would strongly recommend a Dr Jart+ BB cream.
Another product I can't get enough of at the moment is the Maybelline Color Tattoo in On and On Bronze. As I said in my post here I do need to use a primer with this but I do have very oily lids. I don't understand how my eyelids are so oily or if there is something I can do to make them less oily, but if anyone has any suggestions please let me know. Back to the product love the colour, texture, staying power (with primer) finish and the price.
The next product Hydraluron I haven't posted about this yet but had to include as this has seriously helped my skin since buying at the end of January - haul post here. I knew I had to get this since reading the post on beautymouth.com and really think that this has done wonders for my skin. My nemesis otherwise known as my forehead seems to be behaving itself much better and I think it is due to this and the Advanced Night Repair. Also this is great for the morning after the night before.
After my Make up Disaster I needed to get a new mascara so picked up Maybelline's The Falsies after being recommended by a friend. I don't think that this makes my lashes look false but does have the volume that I like. For work I wear one coat for a night out slap on loads, it doesn't clump, flake or crumble or more importantly irritate my eyes.
Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair was purchased after reading a post from viviannadoesmakeup.com, I blame Anna for a lot of my spending but I am so glad I bought this. The lovely sales lady in Debehams told me that I should start seeing visible results after 6 weeks which is any day now, but I have noticed a difference in my skin since using this daily. I am not sure whether it is this or the Hydraluron or a combination of the two but don't really care, as my skin is feeling so much healthier.
The last product I have been loving is my MUA Cream Blusher in Blossom, still no sign of getting bored of this yet or trying out the other shade I bought at the same time. If you want to read my full post click here. I will try and try the other at some point this month as I can tell you now March's favourites might look a bit familiar if not.
My favourite blogger/YouTuber I have discovered in February is icovetthee.com I think Alix is stunning and I love her style. Her blog is also beautiful and full of great content, actually very jealous now I think about it.
Although this wasn't a favourite it is getting a notable mention as I have decided not to do my monthly to do posts any more. Frankly the posts are not often read and most importantly haven't made me actually get off my bum and do the things, so what is the point I wonder! Anyway back to what I wanted to say I finally finished Emma by Jane Austen. Started in August finally finished in February! If you want to know what I thought of the book I did a post here

January Favourites
God it has been months since I posted a monthly favourite post but here are my January plus maybe a few from December.
I have been loving Maddox Street by Nails Inc this month I haven't really worn anything else on my fingers. I think that this looks amazing with my slightly faded black jeans which I have been wearing to death - hence the fading. Hopefully when the spring hits I will be lusting after something lighter or brighter or I might actually have a problem.
Another product I can't get enough of this month has been Treacle Moon Warm Cinnamon Nights it smells divine and find myself randomly sniffing the bottle when I go into the bathroom. I don't know if these are still available in my local Tesco but if they are I might have to buy another one.
I have also fallen head over heals for the Dr Jart+ Regenerating BB cream, I still haven't bought the full size yet and it is even on offer at the moment in boots.com but am desperately trying to use up my Benefit tinted moisturiser first as I know I won't touch it again if I buy this. I know most people wear heavier foundations in the winter but my skin has been so dry this winter I wanted to give my poor parched skin some additional moisture. Although think I may have found the answers to my skin prayers but will keep you posted.
My last beauty favourite is this gorgeous little palette I got from my best friend I think the Christmas before last (or maybe my birthday) The shades are all shimmery and think the selection of neutral shades is really good. There are a couple of more dramatic shades for a evening out or for those a bit more daring. I have been wearing daily for work and have been impressed by the pigmentation and staying power. I do need to use a primer but I have really oily lids. Maybe if I am feeling brave I will do a FOTD post.
My favourite song recently has been Diamonds by Alex Goot I again prefer his cover to the original and must have listened to it at least a hundred times. I wish I could sing, in my head I sound like Julia on this track but I have been informed that I sound more like a dying cat!
My favourite blog I have discovered in the last few months is missbudgetbeauty.co.uk she seems so down to earth and I am so envious of her make up collection. Oh and her son Milo is so cute too.
My last favourite is an app for my iPad Mini. I was very lucky to be given my iPad mini as an unexpected Christmas present and was seriously excited to try it out but must admit I am a bit disappointed. I mainly use the internet for watching YouTube and reading blogs. I have no issues with YouTube but the find the two apps I have for blogging awful. They are Bloglovin' which was my preferred method for following blogs and Blogger. Has anyone else got any better apps for reading and writing blogs?
I seemed to have gone off topic I do love iBooks so far I have only downloaded Emma by Jane Austen which I will finish one day and The Great Gatsby as really want to read the book before seeing the film. I was dubious about the app as have heard a lot of people say that it isn't great for reading for long periods on the iPad due to the bright screen and that I would be better to get a bog standard Kindle but so far so good. I am hoping that I will be able to really start and make head way on The Big Read as many of the books are free.

October Favourites
Although October has been a busy stressful month, one thing did happen that made me extremely happy,I found my watch. My dad got it for me for my 18th birthday and I had worn everyday for years, the battery then stopped and I didn't wear for about 4 years. I finally got it replaced at the beginning of the year and I started wearing again, then I lost it. I searched everywhere and got very upset when I couldn't find it. Then when I was transferring some photos to my laptop for my blog I dropped my SD card down the sofa, I stuck my arm down the side and pulled out my watch. So thanks to my blog I found my priceless watch.
Now onto my favourites, the song that I have been loving and singing (badly) non stop is One More Night by Alex Goot & Friends I even prefer their version than Maroon 5's. I listened and fell in love after Tanya Burr mentioned it in one of her videos.
The next thing isn't terribly exciting, but is a handbag essential Soap and Glory Hand Maid is the best hand sanitiser I have ever used! It is the only one that I have come across which smells nice. I think this has given me OCD I am forever putting this on, mainly for the smell. If anyone knows of any other nice smelling hand sanitisers available in the UK please let me know.
My favourite YouTube video is Leona Lewis X Factor Make Up by pixiwoo. I know its a bit early but think it would be a great make up look for the holiday season, which I can't wait for.
The best thing on TV at the moment has to be Downton Abbey, I was dubious about whether this series would be as good, but I think it may even be the best one yet. It is perfect for Sunday evenings and how I wish I was Mary, love her clothes and I do quite like Matthew Crawley.
My favourite make up product is Mac Style blush I now understand the point of blush and will definitely be investing in a few more - does anyone have any recommendations?
I have been wearing my Orange Pussybow Blouse which I got when I went Oxford loads this month think it is the autumnal colour and the fact it looks great with a pair or jeans, which I now live in as my new job has no dress code.
My last favourite is Nescafe Cafe Menu Latte in Caramel, after falling in love with the ice coffee at my hotel in September I was determined to find a coffee drink I love in this country too. I tried coffees in Starbucks and Costa but they were all so strong and bitter so I decided to try some of the instant drinks and discovered these. They are gorgeous not very strong and just sweet enough although I do think a bit of caramel syrup would make it amazing. I can only find at my local sainsburys which is a shame but I will definitely be stocking up.

September Favourites
Sorry for being a few days late my studying is taking up a lot more time than I thought it would but here are this months favourites.
In September I discovered the Wunderlist app for my Blackberry and I love it. I have created loads of lists, one for this post, posts I want to write, products I want to try and even started my Christmas list. If anyone reading likes making lists get this app its great and free.
The polish I wore the most in September was Nails Inc Basil Street as it is the perfect shade nude for me. I had a wedding to attend and wore a lovely teal dress with black accessories, I couldn't find a teal polish that matched and didn't want to wear black nail polish to a wedding so turned to my trusty Basil Street. Also I started my new job and wanted to look neat and polished so again this was perfect.
I went to Turkey in September and was really impressed with the two products I tried by Mark Hill Holiday Hair Sunset Smoother and Holiday Hair Cover Up this year was the first year my scalp didn't get burnt and my hair didn't dry out and look more like straw then hair. I had never tried anything from Mark Hill but after trying these I might have to try out a few more products - does anyone have any suggestions?
I have also rediscovered No7 Advanced Hydration Night Cream I haven't used this for months as I was using Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser morning and night but now using up my No7 moisturisers. I have really noticed my skin looking and feeling much better in the morning I definitely think that at night I will now use a night cream as opposed to a general moisturiser. I don't think that this is still in the No7 range but will replace with another of their night creams.
My favourite YouTuber I discovered this month is leighannsays she is very funny and uses a lot of drugstore products.
My last favourite is something I discovered on holiday - iced coffe. I don't like coffee normally as I find it way too bitter but at our hotel they had a cafe which made the most gorgous iced coffees I liked caramel syrup and cream with mine. I must have had about three a day and I miss them. I have had a caramel frappuccino from Starbucks since I have been back but not quite the same.

August Favourites
I can't believe August is over its gone so quick. My favourite nail polish has to be Kim-Pletely in Love by OPI I do feel like I have been unfaithful with this not being by Nails Inc. What can I say its an amazing colour which has excellent staying power.
This month I have also fallen in love with pinterest.com I never really understood it before but I have become quite an addict. I have loved pinning products I want, films I want to see and looking at other peoples boards. If anyone wants to take a look at my username is supersnoo.
My favourite TV show has been New Girl it is easily the best thing on TV hands down, I am already dreading the end of the series. Also have serious hair envy wish my hair was as long and thick as Jess'
I haven't got a favourite video or post this month but do have a favourite blogger/youtuber viviannadoesmakeup.com I have been following her blog for awhile but this month I have really enjoyed reading her posts and watching her videos. I loved watching her Essie collection, haircare haul and favourite face masks.
I know this hasn't been the longest post but found August very stressful, not had a great time at work but I did manage to get a new job which I am very excited about starting in September.

July Favourites
My favourite nail polish has to be Portobello by Nails Inc. I have had loads of comments since putting this on, on Saturday and love how bright it is but still ultra flattering.
I have also been loving The Body Shop Divide and Multiply Mascara I love how this gets every lash and doesn't clump. I have been using this all the time on my bottom lashes and on my top lashes for day time.
I have two favourite films for this month Magic Mike and The Dark Knight Rises. I couldn't wait to see Magic Mike and wasn't disappointed, yes critics will say that there is very little plot but I don't think that anyone in the cinema was looking for a great story. I am already looking forward to it being released on DVD as perfect for a girly night in.
The Dark Knight Rises was absolutely amazing I won't say too much as some people might not have seen it yet but I thought it was fantastic end to the recent Batman trilogy. I had only watched Batman Begins and The Dark Knight the weekend before The Dark Knight Rises was released. I had never really got into these kind of films before as I do like a good chick flick but I have fell in love with Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman. I did think that for a 12A it was very violent but not as dark as The Dark Knight. I was literally at the edge of my seat till the very end. I think that the best thing about the film is it was something both me and the boyfriend enjoyed.
My favourite YouTube Video is from Sprinkle of Glitter called Being Happy. I have been feeling a bit down in the dumps this month and watched this after having a particularly horrid day at work. I found myself thinking of ways that I could look at my life and stop dwelling on things I can't change. I would recommend everyone takes a look at the video.

June Favourites
I decided to do a slightly different favourite post then last months the main reason is that I don't have the money to buy loads of products to try out each month. So decided after watching Tanya Burr's May Non Beauty Favourites just to do a post on what I have loved this month - so might be a bit random.
The only beauty product this month is Nails Inc Jubilee polish, the only thing I will say that getting it off is a pain in the backside. It takes longer to remove then it does to do apply!!! But I still love it.
Also linked to the Jubilee was my favourite YouTube video by pixiwoo of Cheryl Cole's make-up from the concert. Cheryl as always looked stunning and I do love the pixiwoo sisters.
My next favourite has to be The Fifty Shades Trilogy I have read the whole trilogy twice and the second book (Fifty Shades Darker) three times. I have literally become obsessed with them, yes I know they aren't the best written books in the world and are a bit raunchy but OMG they are addictive, I had to make myself stop reading them at night.
My favourite film that I discovered this month is Crazy Stupid Love I know that this has been out for ages but I watched it for the first time in June and thought it was really good, the best scenes were obviously when Ryan Gosling was topless but other scene weren't too bad either.

May Favourites
I wanted to share the products I have been loving recently.
The first is my current favourite scent Coco Mademoiselle from Chanel. Its a gorgeous fresh citrus scent. My boyfriend got this for me last October and I have used everyday since you can purchase from boots.com for £53.00 for 50ml (having just found out how expensive this is I may start using less liberally)
My second is another Chanel product the Vitalumiere Aqua foundation which I picked up in Fenwick's at York but can be purchased at boots.com for £32. I have feel in love with this product, its so light and makes my skin look amazing (will do a full review soon)
My next product is Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish which I am still loving. My skin has really benefited from this product and I must admit that this is the only cleanser I have bought and nearly three months later is still using regularly instead of reverting back to wipes.
